It will focus on keeping staff ‘up to date’ and ensuring that the key message that ‘child safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility’ is understood by all staff.
This course will help you to develop an understanding of your role and responsibilities in safeguarding children, increase your knowledge and confidence in working with Buckinghamshire policies and procedures, including child protection.

			Safeguarding Refresher for Designated Safeguarding Lead in Early Years Webinar
Designated Leads are required to complete New Designated Lead training and attend Safeguarding Refresher training every 2 Years thereafter in line with Buckinghamshire Early Years Safeguarding guidelines.

			Safer Recruitment Webinar
NEW Safer recruitment training has been designed to give you an understanding and confidence to implement robust safer recruitment practices to ensure those working with children are safe and suitable to do so. KCSIE state whoever is involved in the recruitment process must complete safer recruitment training. To maintain consistency with robust recruitment procedures it is strongly advised that early years providers follow the advice in this guidance to ensure a safe environment for children.
Those with recruitment responsibilities should be committed to ensuring all recruitment is undertaken fairly, effectively and safely and in accordance with legislation. The training covers effective recruitment and selection process including rigorous pre-employment checks and ongoing suitability to help deter, reject, prevent and detect those who seek to harm children from applying to work in your organisation. Safe recruitment policies and practice is a key preventative step.
